A pizza crust made of cauliflower. Yum.
Ok, so It's been a long workweek at Smith and Associates, but I'm not giving up on my healthy vibe. Thank you lovely friends for sticking with me. While I intended to post a delish strawberry pesto pizza from my friend Dylan, I've decide to instead just add the recipe for a gluten-free qauliflower crust that you can add any of your vegan pizza recipes or gluten-free recipe pizzas ingredients to. (But I incourage pesto, veggies and as many meat-less recipes as you can find for veggie, gluten free pizza.)
The gluten-free qauliflower crust veggie pizze crust recipe is this:
1 head cauliflower
1 egg
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup grated mozzarella
2 TBP almond flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Place a round baking sheet in the oven and preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Cut cauliflower into florets and then pulse in a food professor until you get a very fine mixture. Microwave florets for 4 minutes. Wrap florets in a piece of cheese cloth and wring as much moisture out as possible.
Mix the cauliflower with salt, dried spices, cheese and almond flour and then add egg mix well. Form mix into a thin pizza crust and place onto a piece of greased parchment paper.
Put the crust on onto the preheated pan and bake for 12 minutes.
